IPL Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal or Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a technology used by cosmetic and medical practitioners to perform laser hair removal. IPL hair removal uses coherent, monochromatic laser light with radio frequencies to remove hair for all skin colors, all hair colors and is virtually pain-free.
IPL hair removal is a fast, effective way to reduce hair growth because it targets the pigment and destroys the whole hair follicle, eliminating the risk of ingrown hairs.
Custom Beaute offers Laser Hair Removal to Amherst, Buffalo, Tonawanda, Williamsville, Clarence, Grand Island, Niagara Falls and the surrounding Western New York area.
What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is a procedure which removes hair from the body utilizing an intense pulsed light.
Who can perform laser hair removal?
A Certified Hair Removal Technician can perform these treatments under the supervision of a physician.
Where can I get laser hair removal on my body?
You can have hair removed on any area of the body.
Why do I need more than one treatment?
There are different stages of hair growth cycles. When you are in the active growth stage, you should have a treatment. If your hair is not currently growing, you should wait until the hair grows again. After a series of treatments, you will see less and less hair grow. Some clients will return a year later for removal of new hairs that are now in active phase of growth. No one knows how many hair cycles a person will have, but the goal is to have a dramatic hair reduction.
How many treatments does it take and how long should I wait between treatments?
We recommend that you start with a series of six treatments, spaced out based on hair growth patterns; typically every four to six weeks.
What color hair do you have to have to get laser hair removal?
The laser we use can treat any hair color and any skin color.
How long is the appointment?
Treatments start at 10 minutes and can go up to 30-minute intervals.
Is it painful?
No, our laser is virtually pain-free!
What is the aftercare?
You might be a little red around the area for up to three days, depending on your skin. Do not wax or use any hair removal products on the area, though you may shave. The hair will shed and fall out a few weeks after the procedure. Not all the hair will shed: that’s why more than one treatment is needed.
